Creating Your Own Bot

To create your own bot you must first have a durable remote-control car and an idea of what you can do with it.The four major classes of bots are wegde, pike, spinning, and rambot. To create any of these weapon designs you will needa plan and lots of ducktape. You may use one or more weapon depending on your car. The number one thing in creating a weapon is strength and durability. A good weapon will not let you down in battle. After you have created a formadable weapon on your car you must determine how much armor if any you will add. The best armor is made of plastics for it doesnot interfere with radio waves as metal does. Once you have created a well rounded battlebot your job as a driver is to practice, practice, practice. Some of the best cars are made by people who cannot them. Practice regular driving and battle manuvers that will aid you in the arena. Learn to optomize your weapon(s) and armor and you will become a worthy competeter.

How To Create Your Own Bot League

To create your own bot league you must first get togther as many dedicted people as you can. Make sure you do not recruit to many people that do not share your enthusiasim for they will only end up being a problem. Next you must come up with a set of rules. To make these rules it is best to be done with agroup of two or more insuring fair and unbyast rules and regulations. Along with rules you need to form an accurate system of judging the fights. The system offered on this site is tried and true. A site for battles must be determined. A recomemded site isa garage of the createor of the league or an enthusiastic member ensuring a quaity arena will be available. An arena is a essential part of any battle as with any hazard you chose to create. A hazrard must also be durable and dangerous to any bot unluckey enough to wander over/under it. An arena can be as simple as a few pieces of wood on the ground in the form of a box or as complicated as on TV. The most important thing incretaing a league is making it fun, of course, and having as little adult supervision as possible.

Driving Stratagies

As stated above, one of the most important things to your success in the arena is your driving ability. It is a well known fact through-out the bot league that some people are just gifted drivers, and others just don't have it all together. Practice helps a great deal but there's only so much you can gain by driving around. Learning different ways to attack your opponent is vital to gain points and damage the other bot. A good way to perfect a manuver is to have some sort of target, possibly a small box, just to get your aim down. A favorite manuver of mine is the Run & Spin. I pretend to flee from the opponent and as they close in on my backside I pull a 360 presenting only my wedge to their advancing bot. Their own momentum forces them up my wedge and sends them into the air. Another way to practice driving manuvers is to stage mock battles. This provides real conditions and a nothing-to-lose attitude because the results do not go on the book. If you are a proficient driver 1st place is as good as yours.
